Message from the President - July/August 2025

Hello and welcome to July and the start of vacations for not just children but many hard working

members at our Langford Legion.  Hopefully, it will be a safe and happy one for everyone. 

As many of you know, the legion has been extremely busy during the past few months

throughout the spring.  As always, July and August are a bit slower for us so I would certainly

invite you to come and enjoy the many services we offer during the coming weeks – whether it

is  for a game of pool, a meal or just a refreshment, we would love to see you at the branch. 

I do want to mention that the legion has designated smoking areas, and I would ask again, that

if you do smoke, you utilize the spots designated.   If members and guests do continue to

smoke in other areas on the property, the executive will have no other option than to ban

smoking completely from the property. So please adhere to the rules. 

I would also like to thank those volunteers that assisted with the many barbeques that the legion

held at many Westshore schools during June. I would particularly like to acknowledge Nola

Paxton, one of our executive team, that helped to make this program a great success again this

year. 

Many of our sports leagues have wrapped up for the summer.  Thanks to everyone that

participate as it all helps to make our Langford Legion successful. 

In closing, I do sincerely hope that all of our valued members have a safe and pleasant summer

and again on behalf of your executive we do hope to see you at the branch during these warm

summer days!
