Message from the President - January 2025

Happy New Year to all of our valued members at Branch 91, your Langford Legion. I do hope that everyone had an enjoyable holiday season and the New Year will bring you happiness and good health.

As you know, 2024 was an extremely busy one for your executive, staff and volunteers. As I have stated previously, it is our volunteers that continue to allow our branch to be so active, both here at the branch and within the community. Since it is the beginning of a new year, I do mention again that we are continuing to be in need of help in the kitchen serving, dishwashing, setting up and serving for special events. So, if you have thought about helping us, please contact the branch as your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Our auditorium continues to be booked well into 2025. If you are considering holding an event here, I would urge you to contact the branch as soon as you can due to its limited availability.

As January begins, many of our regular activities take place in the lounge. Those include the weekly meat draw, Saturday night music bingo, drop-in pool and shuffleboard, ect. If you would like to participate in any of our weekly events and would like more information, do not hesitate to contact us. I should add that there are other special events taking place, too many to mention here, but again contact us or watch the Bulletin or the television screens in the lounge for more information!

Again, on behalf of your executive, I want to take this opportunity to wish each of you a very Happy and Healthy 2025!

Norm Scott
