Message from the President - October 2026

Welcome to October! It is hard to believe summer has already passed and autumn has arrived, brining darker, wetter days. I hope all our members enjoyed a wonderful summer.

As usual, our Langford Leigon becomes much busier at this time of year, with all our sports leagues once again underway. It is wonderful to see so many members return to enjoy their activities, a meal, or a beverage. I am also pleased to advise that our kitchen is now open throughout the afternoon, so please stop by for a great meal or snack!

As always, our legion has a full schedule of events throughout the fall and winter. Join us on November 14th for a great evening with "The Comedy Misfits." It promises to be a fun night! Please check our website or contact the office for more information on any upcoming special events.

With more activities on our calendar, we continue to need volunteers. If you can help in the kitchen or with event setup, please contact us. Volunteering is very rewarding, and every contribution is greatly appreciated.

Our annual Poppy Drive will begin on Oct 24, and it's success depends on the support of many volunteers each year. More information will follow. Please consider helping us with this worthwhile cause.

In closing, on behalf of the executive, we look forward to welcoming all our valued members back to the branch in the coming days!

Norm Scott

President.
